A Nameless

A man drives to the river

He leaves his car by the road

He forgets about his life

He rejects the claims of others

He has no history, all memory fades

The side mirror loses his reflection

He takes off his clothes, his skin

In that moment, he is no longer a man

He is a frog, a fish

A dead leaf, a stone

A whisper on the breeze

A shard of light

Darting through the air

Shimmer in the water

And just like that

A nameless formless thing

Vanishes
